Our standards
AceMedEd writes about the science of learning and, increasingly, about general health and longevity. Every post follows the same rules.
- Every claim points to a source. Posts cite published research, listed at the end of each one. Studies we only know through a review are cited as such.
- We say how strong the evidence is. When a finding comes from one small study or a lab task, we say so, and we keep "this helped people remember" separate from "this helped people apply it."
- Personal stories are labeled. I share what has worked for me, in its own section, after the evidence, never as proof.
- Health writing is education, not advice. Posts on health and longevity share evidence, views and personal experience to help you think through the claims. They are never medical advice for any one person; talk to your own clinician before changing anything about your health.
- Corrections are welcome. If you spot an error, email acemeded@gmail.com or use the contact page, and I'll fix it and note the change.
- No sponsors or affiliate links today. If that changes, anything sponsored will be labeled where it appears.
